Marc F. Catalano, M.D.
Dr. Marc Catalano is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has a special interest in the area of endoscopic ultrasound and biliary endoscopy and has written over 200 articles pertaining to endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound published in a variety of medical journals. He has presented numerous lectures at scientific meetings throughout the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, and Asia. He is also actively involved in medical research and is co-director of the Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopic Fellowship Training Program at GI Consultants. Dr. Catalano has been director and co-director of several scientific meetings and courses. He is a member of the research committee for the Bockus International Society of Gastroenterology. He is also a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Physicians (ACP), the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA), and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG). He is an associate Editor of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (a leading digestive journal) and has been elected as the Governor of Wisconsin for the ACG (1998-Present). He has also had the distinction of having been chosen as one of "The Best Doctors in America" and his name has appeared in the Midwest Regional guide of that publication.
Dr Catalano attended Rutgers University for his undergraduate education. He received his medical license from the University of Texas Medical School, Houston, Texas. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He received his advanced Endoscopy Fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. He is a former Associate Director of Endoscopy at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Catalano is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
